On September 10, 2026, the School of Foreign Languages at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) organized a training session on “Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer.” The training was conducted by Dr. D. Lkhagvasuren (Ph.D.), an intellectual property attorney and legal professional (LL.M.).

The training provided information on the basic concepts and types of intellectual property, the importance of protecting intellectual property rights, and opportunities to protect inventions and technologies developed as a result of research activities.

The differences between patents, copyrights, trademarks, and other forms of intellectual property were also explained, along with the procedures for registration and obtaining legal protection.

The training was valuable in enhancing participants’ understanding of how research and innovation outcomes can be linked with intellectual property protection, applied in practice, and further explored for technology transfer and commercialization.
